The Cape Coral Farmers Market is entering its 30th season as one of the city's most beloved events, and for good reason. This year-round market serves up the area’s best produce, foods, and crafts. During the fall season, over 140 vendors will be at the market—open year-round, every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.

“Visitors will find seven fresh produce vendors, including a Nationally Certified Organic vendor.  Other delicious finds are fresh bread, pastries, Wisconsin and European cheeses, pickles, olives, Chaga, watermelon tea, Kettle Korn, guacamole, ceviche, truffle oils, and local honey. Plus, ethnic foods, such as Italian, Greek, Polish, Chinese, Caribbean, Turkish, Spanish, and Thai,” explains Claudia St. Onge, Business Manager & Farmers Market Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral.

The Chamber operates the market, the only non-profit market in Lee County. Craft selections are also popular. Visitors will find handmade jewelry, beach bags, fragrance pots and oils, wood turning, candles, soaps, and local t-shirts.

“There are also plants and flowers and even a master knife sharpener, watch repair done on-site, and the list of offerings goes on,” says St. Onge.

In addition to the vendors, there are also three music stages, and informational tents representing local businesses, local non-profits, school organizations, and youth sports teams.

“There are always food trucks and the ever-popular, Calendar Girls for entertainment. It is a Saturday morning destination for thousands of people,” adds St. Onge.

One of the market’s goals is to provide the community with affordable local fruits and vegetables to keep everyone healthy and eating good.

“To help achieve this goal, we are the only market in the area that accepts EBT transactions, and we are part of the Fresh Access Bucks/Feeding Florida program that provides double dollars for those who shop with electronic food benefits,” explains St. Onge.

The Cape Coral Farmers Market has been part of this program since 2012.
